Introduction to Hollywood Bridge

The industry has evolved. Today, Hollywood isn’t just a zip code—it’s a standard of excellence. As production in Texas continues to surge, Zak Barnett Studios is excited to begin a growing relationship with Acclaim Talent to ensure their actors remain highly competitive, both locally and nationally.

With over 300 Series Regular bookings to our name, and numerous Oscar, Tony and Emmy winning clients, ZBS is widely regarded as the most innovative and industry-endorsed acting school in Los Angeles.

Our alumni, including Jonathan Daviss (Outer Banks), Madelaine Petsch (Riverdale), Lukas Gage (The White Lotus), Storm Reid (Euphoria), and Danielle Macdonald (Dumplin’), prove that the ZBS method creates breakout stars.

Industry endorsements range from icons like Kristin Chenoweth and Kenny Ortega (Director of High School Musical), to top LA Casting Directors like Sara Isaacson (Chicago Fire) and Mark Bennett (The Hurt Locker), to top Agents (Domina Holbeck, SVP CESD) and Philip Watson, LBI (Clients Dove Cameron and Julia Garner). ZBS is the industry’s choice.

They say “In NY it’s hard to get in the door and in LA it’s hard to find it”. We’re here to help you find the door. Join us for this free introductory session.

A Free Exclusive, Zoom Event for Acclaim Talent Clients

The purpose of this event is two-fold: To introduce actors to the ZBS Hollywood Bridge curriculum, designed to help performers outside of Los Angeles better understand how to navigate and compete in today’s Hollywood industry, and to provide a practical, actionable tool they can immediately apply to their auditions.

As part of the seminar, Zak will share elements of the “ZBS’ SIGNATURE CREATIVE SELF TAPE APPROACH”, giving actors insight into creating more engaging, confident, and effective self tapes. For actors in Texas, this Creative Self Tape seminar serves as the first step in the Hollywood Bridge curriculum, offering both industry perspective and a concrete technique that actors can begin using right away to elevate their work and approach auditions with greater clarity and confidence.

The Seminar will be followed by a panel featuring Zak Barnett (Master Teacher and Founder of ZBS), Candace Daniels (Head of Industry & Student Relations at ZBS and Former Talent Agent), Ernest Dancy (Business Development Manager at ZBS and Former Lit Agent), alongside Jason Wasner (Talent Agent at Acclaim Talent).

This session is a low-pressure, high-value introduction to our training. We move beyond the technical “how-to” and focus on creating a performance that is creatively alive and impossible for casting to ignore.

Being a successful actor with longevity takes more than just talent. It takes being immersed in a culture of excellence. ZBS’s Hollywood Bridge Program offers you a way to do just that, creating a true bridge to Hollywood—wherever you are.

Zak Barnett taught me to love my craft.  Before I came to the studio I loved acting and I knew it was all I wanted to do, but I didn’t know why.  I found myself in a place where I was giving good auditions, but I wasn’t feeling fulfilled.  Going through his classes allowed me to find my own wants and meld them into one.  I learned to love the art of acting and find joy in making something special, something only I could create.
