Through a combination of creativity and centering practices, as well as inspired conversations with the ZBS Faculty, and leaders in the fields of Activism, Spirituality and Entertainment (Aṣẹ), Aṣẹ is designed to help everyone connect to their authentic presence and purpose—whether that be through acting, parenting, politicking or anything else.

Aṣẹ is a Yoruba word meaning “Agent of Change”, or “Life Force”.   A person who, through training, experience, and initiation, learns how to use the essential life force of things to willfully effect change is called an alaase. Our belief is that through engaged dialogue and practical exercises within the themes of Activism, Spirituality, and Entertainment, an alignment to this force is created.  An alignment that is equally capable of transforming you into a character, as it is into transforming your life.

AS WE FOCUS ON THE TOPICS OF RACISM, EQUALITY, INCLUSIVITY AND JUSTICE FOR THE NEXT TWO MONTHS, ALL OF OUR ASE PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO THE NAACP LEGAL DEFENSE FUND.
