ZBS FELLOWSHIP 2018

Our Lighthouse Intensives Change Lives and Careers…

Four times a year, ZBS awards the prestigious ZBS Fellowship. Following each of the seasonal lighthouse intensives, The ZBS Faculty decides on one student they want to support through complimentary audition coaching for three months following the intensive.

In order to qualify, the student will have had to have completed the recent intensive and currently be enrolled in ongoing class. Past recipients have included Simone Baker (Gook) and Will Simmons (Mickey Mouse Club).

What’s coming soon for ZBS Intensives?

ZBS OSCAR INTENSIVE: Finding Your Inner Icon.

Coming May 2018, the ZBS Oscar Intensive is centered on what makes an actor’s work iconic and unforgettable. Through the ZBS’s focus of Acting for the Whole-Self, students will work with all of the ZBS Faculty as we strive to find that iconic quality in each student’s work. Students will work on scripts from Academy Award winning and nominated scripts. Classes will incorporate all aspects of the actor’s creativity and intellect from improvisation, text analysis, scene study, audition technique, physical character work, meditation, in-depth emotional work, and philosophical conversation. We will also watch excerpts from the iconic performances, analyzing what makes them extraordinary as well as what makes each of the students so extraordinary. The intensive is designed for professional actors who want to dive deeper than ever into their work and begin to generate a true understanding of their own star power. The intensive culminates with an industry panel generally comprised of casting directors, reps, writers, and directors.
