ZBS’ Hollywood Bridge Program levels the playing field for actors living outside of LA by providing the highest level of actor training and career guidance Hollywood has to offer; without you having to leave your hometown.

Summary

The Hollywood Bridge Program offers a combination of small, in-depth, online classes with panel discussions, one-on-one consults, and twice yearly, in-person workshops from Zak and his team in Texas. The program meets 2x/wk for 6 months beginning the week of September 15th. Attendees are also welcome to attend any of our ZBS virtual community events during that time, which includes panels with various casting, reps, producers, actors, etc discussing the evolving state of the industry. Participants in the Hollywood Bridge will also have the opportunity to have a one on one career consultation with one of our student advisors, who were formerly agents themselves. 

Detailed Description

Part One: Online Genre-Based Audition Immersive

Part zone will cover self tape and Zoom callbacks, working with contemporary material across 6 tv genres + hybrid-genres, fine-tuning the actors attention on tone, style and genre.

Singers know that just because you have a great voice doesn’t mean you can sing pop, jazz, classical, and rap. You have to understand those forms in order to pour your talent through them. Actors don’t always know that what makes a single cam funny is not what makes a muti-cam funny. Or that the function of a guest star role in a serial drama is different than a procedural. Once you understand these principals, your odds dramatically increase of getting a callback and/or booking.

Part Two: Advanced Self-Tape and Zoom Callback

Once you’re grounded in genre, and have attuned yourself to tone and style, this course gets you practiced at making sure your self tapes are both creative and competitive- standing out from the pack. We’ll take your performance a step further by making sure that the technical elements: lighting, backdrop, costume, sound, etc, are not only supporting your newfound attention to tone, style, and genre, but highlights your distinct point of view on the role.

Once you have completed these two courses, you will meet with a ZBS career advisor who will then assist in customizing a map, from our many classes and programs, that suits where you are specifically in your craft and caree and what will take you to the next level.

The Hollywood Bridge meets 2x/wk for 6 months and begins September 15th
Adult Program: M/W from 7-930pm Central Time.
Teen Program: T/Th 430-645pm Central Time
Kids Program: M/W from 430-645pm Central Time

Payment Options

The Cost of the program is $3500 if you pay in full upon initial registration. You also have the option of paying monthly at the rate of $695/mo for 6 months ($4170 total).

Alternatives

While the Hollywood Bridge program is designed specifically for actors in the Texas Market, if actors find themselves not able to commit to the 2x/wk schedule, we do offer 1x/wk classes through our ZBS Membership Program. Master Class Workshop with Zak Barnett

Cost: Additional $2000 for 3-Day Intensive to participate. $250/day to audit

Twice yearly, Zak will come to Texas to teach his signature master class to a select group of advanced adult actors.
